According to the above statistic, our Center sees 1,000 patients each year who are at risk for developing full-blown diabetes. Diabetes can be devastating to a family’s health and finances, and almost impossible to manage without a treatment team.

To help, we have begun a Diabetes Screening Project that will:

• Screen patients to diagnose those who are at risk.
• Work with those persons and their families to help them monitor and manage their disease.
• Promote awareness of this program to our neighbors most at risk and least likely to have access to primary care.
